Jaspers Diary, "New Humans"

My First Day With the “New Humans”

Today, two random humans came and took me away from my house.
They say they’re my new humans. Like I know what that means??

One minute I’m chilling with my brothers and sisters, and the next I’m bundled up in this weird moving box that makes loud noises and smells like “outside.” The humans kept making those high-pitched sounds they call “awwws” and staring at me like I was some sort of celebrity. Honestly, it was a little much. I tried to act cool, but my eyes kept getting heavy…

When we finally stopped moving, they carried me into this strange new den. It smelled like fresh carpet, plants I’m not allowed to chew (apparently), and two people who clearly have no idea that I’m in charge now. They showed me bowls of food, water, and this mysterious box full of soft sand. They called it my litter tray. Weird name, but okay.

I sniffed everything, circled around a bit, and then… it hit me. I was so tired.
Like, can’t-keep-my-eyes-open tired. So I did what any sensible kitten would do — I curled up right there in the litter tray and went to sleep. Don’t judge me! It was cozy, and it smelled kind of familiar.

I heard them whispering, “Aww, he fell asleep in his litter box.”
Yes, humans. I did. Because life is exhausting when you’re this adorable.

When I woke up, they were still there — watching me, smiling, waiting for me to do something “cute.” I stretched, yawned, and gave them my best innocent face. They melted. Works every time.

I guess these two aren’t so bad. They’ve got warm hands, soft voices, and a comfy bed I plan to claim as my own very soon. Maybe being a “new human’s cat” isn’t the worst thing in the world.

But first… another nap.
